{organizing with style} How to Organize Baby Bottles

It's birthday day at our house!  Today Cooper is two months old, and Beckett is 19 months old. One thing I know for sure is that two little ones equal lots and lots of stuff.  And not just toys... lots of stuff in the kitchen as well.

An entire shelf in our cupboard is dedicated to Beckett's plastic cups, plates and bowls, and an entire shelf in the pantry is dedicated just to his food.  Now, with another baby in the house, we are using bottles again, but we don't have enough space in the cupboard or the pantry to store all of Cooper's bottles in addition to Beckett's stuff.  Since we will only be using bottles for about another 10 months, rather than rearranging the cupboard to try to make space, I decided it would be easier to keep the bottles on the counter top where they are easily accessible.

Sometimes the simplest solution is the best solution, so I picked up two plastic baskets from Target to corral all of our bottle-feeding necessities.

The larger of the two baskets holds our bottles of various sizes and shapes.  Empty bottles are so lightweight that they are very tipsy, so corralling all of the bottles into the basket makes life much easier.  Now I can quickly grab out a bottle without knocking over all of the others.

The smaller of the baskets is the perfect size for a container of formula, and also stores the medicines that we use frequently for the kiddos.

Because our island has two different levels, the baskets of bottles and bottle parts sit low enough that they are barely visible when you enter the kitchen.

And the baskets can easily be stashed away if I want to clear the counter tops when we are having company over.

Baskets are a girl's best friend!  There is really no simpler way to make organizing quick and manageable. Even if you don't want to keep bottles in plain sight on your counter top, consider using a basket to organize them on a cupboard shelf to prevent bottles from tipping over and falling out.
